  Tāmaki Makaurau supergroup, well “group” at least, Thee Golden Geese have just released their very first album - Bird Of The Year 2023 - out right NOW on 1:12 Records!
  
  Thee Golden Geese were: Gareth Shute (bass, honking), James Dansey (drums, honking, also he produced the whole album), Dave Taylor (guitar), and Matthew Crawley (honking).
  
  As clearly stated in the lyrics to "95bFM Top Ten", the band had promised to never try again if they didn't immediately get to #1 on the 95bFM Top Ten. Sadly - on a technicality - they weren't able to be included in the tally on the week of release, so unfortunately - but understandably - the band have broken up, and will be playing their final show this Saturday 28th of October at Whammy Bar.
  
  You can still keep voting for the band on 95bFM if you want to, and hey, if they get to number one THIS week, they might just have to reconsider this dramatic break-up. Maybe, but maybe not.
